Under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to direct a business to limit its use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (SPI) to purposes that are necessary for providing the services requested. This page explains what sensitive personal information Revolt Services may collect, how we use it, and how to submit a limitation request.

WHAT IS SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION

Under the CPRA, sensitive personal information includes the following categories:

  • Social security number, driver's license number, state ID, or passport number
  • Financial account information, credit or debit card numbers with required access credentials
  • Precise geolocation (within a radius of 1,850 feet)
  • Race or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, or union membership
  • Contents of mail, email, or text messages where the business is not the intended recipient
  • Genetic data
  • Biometric information used for identification
  • Health, sex life, or sexual orientation information

SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT

In the ordinary course of providing solar and battery installation services, Revolt Services may collect the following categories of sensitive personal information:

Financial information. If you apply for financing through a third-party lender as part of a solar installation, we may collect or transmit financial account information or credit-related information required to process the application. This information is used solely to facilitate the financing application and is shared only with the lender you are applying through.

Precise geolocation. Our website may use cookies or analytics tools that collect approximate location data if your browser permits it. We use this to understand general traffic patterns and to serve location-relevant content. We do not build profiles based on precise geolocation for advertising purposes.

We do not intentionally collect other categories of sensitive personal information listed above in the normal course of our business.

HOW WE USE SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use sensitive personal information only for the following purposes:

  • To perform the services you requested, including processing financing applications and designing solar systems for your property
  • To fulfill our legal and contractual obligations
  • To maintain the security of our systems and services
  • To comply with applicable law and regulatory requirements

We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, for targeted advertising, or for any purpose beyond what is necessary to provide the services you requested.

HOW TO SUBMIT A LIMITATION REQUEST

If you believe we are using your sensitive personal information beyond the purposes listed above and you wish to limit that use, you can submit a request through any of the following methods:

1. Complete the request form below. Provide your name, email address, and a description of the sensitive personal information you want limited. We will respond within 15 business days.

2. Contact us directly.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU SUBMIT A REQUEST

We will review your request and confirm whether we are using sensitive personal information beyond the permitted purposes. If we are, we will stop that use within the timeframe required by law. We will notify you in writing once the request is processed.

Submitting a limitation request will not affect the services we provide to you or the price we charge. We will not discriminate against you for exercising this right.
