Complaints and Cancellation
This page explains how to cancel a Revolt Services contract within your right-to-cancel window, how to file a complaint with us directly, and what external channels are available if a complaint cannot be resolved internally. We want to resolve any issue quickly and fairly. Start with us before going elsewhere.
YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL
California law gives you the right to cancel a home solicitation contract without penalty within three business days of signing. If you are 65 years of age or older, you have five business days under California Civil Code §1689.6. A home solicitation contract is any contract signed at your home or at a location other than the contractor's regular place of business.
Your cancellation right begins on the day you sign the contract. Business days are Monday through Saturday, excluding state holidays. The deadline is midnight of the third (or fifth) business day after signing.
HOW TO CANCEL YOUR CONTRACT
To exercise your right to cancel, you must deliver a written notice of cancellation to Revolt Services before the cancellation deadline. We provided two copies of a Notice of Cancellation form at the time you signed your contract. Use one of those forms and deliver it to us by one of the following methods:
- Hand delivery. Deliver the signed cancellation notice in person to Revolt Services at 4925 Robert J Mathews Pkwy, Ste 100C, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762 before the deadline.
- Mail. Send the signed cancellation notice by first-class mail to the address above. The postmark date counts as the delivery date for mailed cancellations, so mailing before midnight on the last cancellation day satisfies the deadline.
- Email. Email your signed cancellation notice to [email protected] before the deadline. Include "Notice of Cancellation" in the subject line. We will confirm receipt in writing.
- Fax or certified mail. Also accepted. Retain proof of transmission for your records.
You do not need to use our form if you have lost it. A written statement clearly identifying your name, address, the contract date, and your intent to cancel is sufficient. Sign and date the statement before delivering it.
After receiving your cancellation notice, Revolt Services will confirm receipt in writing and return any deposit or payment you made within 10 days.
CANCELLATION AFTER THE RIGHT-TO-CANCEL WINDOW
If you wish to cancel after the right-to-cancel window has passed, your options depend on the stage of the project and what has already been performed under the contract. Contact us as soon as possible to discuss your situation. We will explain what work has been completed, what costs have been incurred, and what options are available.
If Revolt Services has already pulled permits, ordered equipment, or performed site work, those costs may not be recoverable under a late cancellation. We handle late cancellation requests on a case-by-case basis and aim to reach a fair resolution.
