Quick answers

The three questions
we hear most.

Is the 30% federal tax credit still available in 2026?

For cash buyers, no. The federal residential solar tax credit (IRS §25D) ended December 31, 2025 under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The §48E commercial credit still applies to third-party-owned systems through 2027, which is one reason we offer the $0 down prepaid lease path. Talk to your CPA before you decide.

How much does the SMUD battery rebate pay?

Up to $10,000 per household, subject to current SMUD My Energy Optimizer Partner+ program terms. Roughly $5,400 per Tesla Powerwall 3. Funds are first come, first served. Once they're gone, they're gone. We file the paperwork for you.

Do we have to decide anything on the first call?

No. The consult is to understand your situation and show you the numbers. We walk through both paths, explain what each means for your bill, and answer your questions. There's no pressure to decide anything that day. Most people need time to think it over, and that's exactly how it should work.
